Phthalazinone pyrazole (CAS 880487-62-7) is a potent selective and orally bioavailable inhibitor of Aurora-A kinase a member of the Aurora kinase family that regulates key processes in cell division Dysregulation of Aurora-A is linked to chromosomal instability and oncogenesis in various tumor types In vitro phthalazinone pyrazole demonstrates strong inhibition of Aurora-A kinase activity with an IC50 of 31 nM while showing minimal effect on Aurora-B kinase at concentrations up to 100 M It inhibits the proliferation of HCT116 Colo205 and MCF-7 cells with IC50 values of 7 8 2 9 and 1 6 M respectively This compound is utilized in research to investigate the role of Aurora-A in cell cycle regulation and cancer biology
